Snow Day

So far since we've lived in Idaho we had just a little snow, well yesterday we got our first real snow day. When Hunter came home from school we all got on our snow clothes and went out to play. The boys had fun having a snowball fight, and then we made a snowman the same size as Hunter. We used olives for his mouth and eyes, and of course a carrot for his nose. It was fun, but I stayed home that day and did do the errands I needed to cause I was to chicken to drive in the snow.

Well, we were all sick with the stomach flu on New Years Eve and New Years. But later that week Tyson took the boys out for a hike. And despite the look on Wyatt's face in the first picture they all did have a great time. Wyatt and Hunter enjoyed making "tracks" in the snow and of course throwing it at each other. Later that night after we found Hunter reading to Wyatt on the couch. It was one of the moments that made you feel like you were doing something right in parenting.

Christmas

This year was our first Christmas without family. It was nice and quiet. In the morning we left the boys go through their stockings and check out their gift from Santa. Then we had a delicious breakfast, and then off to church for about an hour. When we came back they opened their presents from each other and us, and from family. Later around 3pm we went to our friends the Schiewe's for a yummy yummy prim rib dinner and lots of other great things to eat. The kids played and us adults played a couple rounds of Sequence (Jake and I won). The was a wonderful Christmas despite of being far away from family.

A couple of weekends ago we took the boys to the college here in town to have breakfast with Santa. It was fun and yummy! This year Wyatt didn't cry, he gave me one smile and that was it, then it was as serious face. But he did tell Santa what he wanted for Christmas.

A couple weekends ago Tyson took to boys fishing in Rock Creek Park. It was the same place we took Grandma Cookie and Papa John when they came for a visit. Hunter insisted on calling them to see in Grandpa John wanted to come fishing since Nevada is next door (Hunter sees sign in town the say to Wells Nevada). They had good success and caught 8 fish. This time Tyson fell in the river (Wyatt fell in last time), we told Hunter that he was going to be next, but he says he will be careful. The boys love fishing, expecially Hunter, they were there all day and did come home till past dark. Oh and when the sun was shining this day it was 35 degrees in the sun. Too cold for me to sit out there, so I stayed home in peace a quite.

Hunter's Christmas Play

Hunter had his Christmas Program at school yesterday and did awesome! He was one of Santa's elves and had two different speaking parts that he memorized and did a great job at remembering his lines when it was his turn. He was one of the best singers and really great with his hand actions while they sang. Wyatt and I enjoyed watching him perform, and we video taped it for Tyson to watch since the program was in the middle of the day.

Last weekend the boys decorated our Christmas trees. There is the real one in the living room and the fake one in the boys room. The boys did it all by themselves and are very proud of it.

Wednesday was Wyatt's first day taking the bus to school. The bus is called the Mickey Bus. It picks him up and drops him off at our house. When he got on the bus for the first time he didnt' smile and didn't cry. But when the bus dropped him off at home it was all smiles. And the next day he was excited to ride the Mickey Bus.

Thanksgiving Weekend

For Thanksgiving weekend we made a real fast trip to California for some family fun. When we arrived on Wednesday afternoon we took all the kids to the duck pond. Thursday (Thanksgiving Day) my totally AMAZING Grandma and Grandpa took the Great Grandkids (ages 9-3) to the Wild Animal Park! They are awesome! Then only requirement was that Wyatt was on a leash. Mom, Aunt Jenny and Grandma made a delicious Thanksgiving Feast! Then next day (black Friday) I woke up early and went to Jo Ann's with my craft buddie Amy, and sister-in-law Holli to score some really cute fabric for 1.50 a yard! Then it was time to get ready for Jeff and Maria's wedding. They got married at Temeku Hills Country Club. There was lots of dancing and yummy food from Cafe Rio, and Grandma made a wedding cake that was so yummy! Wyatt and Ryker kept going back for more, I think they each had about 5 pieces. The next day (Saturday) my siblings and their families all left to go back home to Mississippi, and Utah. We were supposed to leave first thing Sunday, but we had some transmission

issues and didn't leave till late Monday night to arrive in Idaho Tuesday afternoon. It was great to all have been together, last time we were all together was 6 years ago. Time flies by fast.

Today is Wyatt's first day of Pre-School!!! He was so excited! He wouldn't let me take a picture of him until I took a picture of his spider man backpack first. He was 2 teachers, Mrs. Carole, and Mrs. D. There are 3 other kids in his class so far so the student teacher ratio is awesome! He makes the 2nd boy, and there are 2 girls. i can't wait to go and pick him back up at 11:45. In a week or two he will start taking a bus to and home from school. The bus comes at picks him up and drops him off at our home. He is growing but so fast. It was a bitter sweet experience dropping him off at school this morning.

First Snow

Today we had our first real snow. It was Hunter's first time in the snow since he was one (he had no memory of it). This was Wyatt's first time. They went out to play around 5pm today when the snow really started coming down. The boys had snowball fights, threw snowballs at me, and at the sliding glass door. Hunter made a snow angel and tried to get Wyatt to do it but he didn't want to lay down (never does). When Tyson came home he attacked the boys with snow balls and then together they built a snowman. We used a carrot of course for the nose, olives for the eyes, red wired yarn for the mouth, ribbon for the scarf, and twig branches for the arms. Wyatt had to have a carrot to eat too cause the snowman's nose was looking mighty tasty to him. We finished our evening taking the boys to Artic Circle for dinner and play, and then Tyson and hunter went to the college basketball game. It was a great evening.

Thanksgiving Crafts

Trick-Or-Treat

This year being our first year in Idaho, the boys had a cold Halloween. We went to a thing in town with out friends the Schewie's, where the local business all got together and were passing our candy for trick-or-treaters. Afterwards we all went over to our friend Chad's (it was is birthday) to have dinner (lasagna) and then took the kids around trick-or-treating while Chad and Jake scared all the trick-or-treaters. It was a fun filled evening with our family and friends.

Today at school Hunter fell on his face on his nose. It started to bruise across the middle of his nose and a little under his eyes, beside making his nose swell. He had just had his nose cartized a week ago.

Last Saturday Tyson and our neighbor Kyle went hunting (about an hour from our home). Tyson shot his first deer since we moved here. Now we can plug in our deep freezer in the garage have have meat! It's been killing Tyson that I pay close to 3$ for a pound of hamburger. On Sunday Tyson cook a really yummy roast from this bad boy, it was delicious!!!

VT Halloween Craft

I used the cricut to cut out this tic tac holder (Jack-o-Lantern) Seeds case for a random Halloween gift to Hunter's teacher and friends. Then I made 7 of these Spooky blocks for the 4 people i visit teach, my vt companion, my neighbor, and one for me!

Tiff & kids come for a visit

My sister and her kids came to visit us last Thursday through Sunday. The kids played and did crafts, and when they went to bed Tiff and I stayed up past midnight every night doing our crafts. We had so much fun with them here, it was sad when they had to leave to go back home to Utah. Here are some pictures of our couple of days together. (I only posted a few out of the few hundred that I took).

Glitner's Dairy Field Trip

Hunter's class had a field trip to a local dairy farm called Glitner's Dairy. Parents were allowed to come along too, so Wyatt and I meet them at the diary. The kids got to see how the cows are milked and then how it was processed before it gets shipped out to a factory to get bottled. Wyatt liked being outside and a good distance away from the cows, he did NOT like being in the barn while the cows were being milked.

Our First Idaho Visitors

This weekend we had our first visitors since we have moved here to Idaho. My Grandma Cookie and Grandpa John came for a little visit. On Friday they took the boys to the circus that was in town, while Tyson and I had a date night. Then on Saturday I showed them around town a little and then we went to Rock Creek Park (a park by our home) for a picnic, walking, and fishing. The boys caught about a dozen fish; Grandma and I left early to get some groceries for dinner, and we took Wyatt with us too cause he fell in the really cold river and we needed to get him so clothes.

Tyson's 32nd Birthday

Tyson turned 32 on Monday so we had a yummy dinner and his favorite cake (the candy bar cake). Our neighbors came over to celebrate with us and brought Tyson a jar of delicious home-made strawberry jam. We have the greatest neighbors. Then to top off the night we played sing-star on the PlayStation (for those who haven't played t you're missing out). Hunter would beat Tyson about half of the time even though he can read the words (he makes it up). Anyways, it was a great evening to celebrate Tyson.

This is my spider-man. He is very talented in all the spidie ways.

I love my little spider man who at the moment refuses to wear anything else but his spider suit. He is on his 4th in a row of wear this special suit that gives him these special powers. I've been trying to convince him to be Peter Parker and to hide his spider-man identity, but I'm not have much luck.

Yesterday was Hunter's last soccer game of the season. His team was undefeated, and not to brag but mainly cause Hunter would score at least 3 goals a game. I just love watching him play, he is awesome. After their game was over he got a soccer medal (which to him was the coolest thing ever).

Witch & Haunted House

I wanted to make this really cute witch word that I saw. For the most part cutting the word wasn't a problem, that is until I got to the "c" I was a 3rd times a charm type of relationship between myself, the cricut, the scroll saw, and the sander. But in the end I was finally able to make the "c" I wanted. I also cut out a haunted house which was a little tricky, but yet fun to make. I have cut out some other items to go with the haunted house. I work on decorating those next.

Wyatt fell off the couch yesterday falling on the wooden table tray stand on his way to the floor scraping his side. After a lot of crying for him he stops crying and says, "Wyatt's Hurt." Then goes back to crying and saying I need a boo boo (a band aid).

Wyatt eats, breaths and lives for spider-man, and still on occasion Woody, and Buzz. He is always getting into Hunter's pajama drawer and putting in the spider-man shirt with black webbing in the arms. He runs around pretending to shoot spider-webs at everyone and everything. He'll crawl around and all 4's and try to climb the walls while saying, "Look mom! I'm spider-man!" He loves his spider-man action figures and can not go anywhere with out them or to bed with that matter. I just love my little web shooting spider boy.

Boys Yearly Check Up

Today the boys had their yearly check-up and meet their new doctor (which was all just loved). Hunter went first, but Wyatt as so excited to get checked out that he laid on the table for his turn. Hunter is in the 95% for Height (52 inches) and 70% for weight (54lbs), and Wyatt is in the 83% for Height (40 inches), and 45% for weight (30lbs).

Another Day at the Lake

This past Saturday after Hunter's soccer game we went boating again with our friends. The weather water was great and the weather was awesome!!! It was a day spent on the floating dock, the boats, tubing, and wake surfing. Hunter rode on Chad's shoulders while he was wake surfing. I actually was getting the hang of it this time surfing behind the boat without using the rope that much. A another great day. Oh and the canyon that we go boating in as gorgeous! There are tons of waterfalls coming out of the rocks up and down the whole canyon.

Hunter had his first soccer game of the season here in Twin Falls. I love that it only cost $15 to play rather than $90 back in Temecula. There are 10 kids on his team and 5 play at a time and the kids are all the same age. This year they play with goalies (which I just love). Hunter played the 1st and 3rd quarter of the game and in the 1st quarter he played goalie and did and awesome job. In the 3rd quarter he scored 4 goals and had 1 assist, he is amazing! I would love for him to play goalie, but is makes a great forward. His team won 8 to 4 (you're not suppose to keep count, but the kids still do). And once again he towers over half the other kids.

Hunter's First Day of First Grade

Hunter had his first day of first grade on Sept. 6th 2011. He has made some friends at school and just loves his teacher Ms. Periera. He said, "She is just so sweet to not give us homework our first week back to school." I just love the way Hunter talks and looks at things, it reminds me a lot of my mom, they both have a heart of gold.

Labor Day Fun

On Labor day the boys and I meet up with our friends Jake and Amber, and Jake's cousin Chad to go boating. We had such a blast! The weather was a little over cast to begin, but it eventually got sunny. the kids loved being pulled in the tube (but not too fast). I got to try wake surfing for the first time, which I totally love! We had Jake and Ambers boat, and Chad brought his family boat too which is a perfect for wake surfing. I love living here in Twin Falls!

Twin Falls Fair

Last Saturday the boys and I went to the big fair that they have here once a year. The boys were really excited to go on the Ferris Wheel. Wyatt kept putting his hands in the air and yelling, "WoooHoooo!" The boys went on a few more rides, and then we meet up with Jake and Amber and their kids and looked at all the animals and fun stuff there. Jake's Uncle was the head judge for the rodeo so he got us all in for free to the rodeo that evening. The rode was soooo much fun! The boys LOVED it! The bucking horses and bull riders were a favorite along with the cow wrestling. And of course we had to get cotton candy.

So the other day Wyatt comes out of his bedroom wearing Hunter's soccer socks, shoes (his underwear as usual) and carrying Hunter's soccer ball. He then walks out to the backyard and starts kicking the ball around. I of course had to run inside and grab the camera.

Soccer starts Falls 2011

I got Hunter signed up for soccer here in Twin Falls last week. They had a few spots available to fit him on a team (since sign-ups were back in June). He is on the Lions, a team of all first grade boys. He's excited that his team is all boys and no girls this year, and they will have a goalie (which I keep trying to push on him). The great thing about Twin Falls is that it only cost $15 to play rec soccer, was as in Temecula we paid $90!

My first craft in Idaho

This is my first craft that I have done since we moved to Idaho. It felt great to do some crafting since I have had it all boxed up for the last month. These presents are made out of 4x4 post, scrapbook paper, paint and ribbon. I did these late at night while watching White Christmas while the boys were asleep in bed.

Well, before we moved my very talented friend made me the most adorable ones for the next few holidays (Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas). She is amazing! Kids Festival

The city had a kids festival with jolly jumps and a ton of different booths put on but different companies that had games and prizes for the kids. Our friends Jake and Amber meet us there with their kids. The boys loved the obstacle course jolly jump and they walked away with a bag full of fun goodies and prizes that they won. At the end we went into the little museum that they have here in town which is pretty cool. One day we'll have to go to the observatory. For our first weekend here is has been a blast.

Fun in Idaho

A couple days ago the Hunter rode his bike and I pushed Wyatt in the stroller and we walked to Hunter's school to play on the playground. His school is 1 block up the street and 4 blocks to the left from our house. It only took us about 15 minutes to walk. The boys had fun playing on a new playground that had different types of playground stuff then in California (some was the same, like the swings and slides).

Hunter and Wyatt just had their Birthdays, and being that Hunter's is on the 22nd and Wyatt's is on the 24th we celebrated both of their birthdays on the 23rd. Tyson took Hunter fishing (which he loves and never wants to stop), while Wyatt and I made their birthday cake. There was 7 candles on one side for Hunter and 3 candles on the other side of the cake for Wyatt. They both got pillow pets, and Hunter got some more Lego's and a skateboard, and Wyatt got a lot of different spider man toys and PJ's.

Grandma Cookie Cruise

My wonderful awesome amazing talented sweet Grandma Cookie (a nickname she's had our whole lives due to the fact the she loves cookies) paid for the her kids and their kids and their spouses (a family reunion minus the little ones) for a 7 day Mexican Rivera Cruise. One of the best weeks in my life! No cooking no cleaning, lots of food and fun, and we had a week with no little kids (thanks to Tyson's parents for watching them). The best part of all was getting to know my cousins better and all of their spouses (they are all married except for 2 of them). We defiantly made some great memories! Thanks again Grandma and Grandpa! So here are just a few (I have 8GB worth).

Wells Family Reunion Part 2

I'm gonna skip all the words and let the pictures tell you of our adventure.

Jackson Hole pool. Wyatt was suppose to wait for Grandpa Ken before he went down the slide, but he didn't and I had to jump in and get him. Wyatt is really good about getting out of the pool to go pee, except for this time he got out and turned around and pulled his shorts down and peed into the pool. Needless to say they had to shut it down for about 20 minutes (and that was our cue to leave).

So I still need to post the second half of the Wells family reunion, but a lot has happened since then... After the reunion we were home for about a week, and then Tyson and I left for a week long cruise with my side of the family (thanks again grandma for providing this amazing experience). It was awesome, we went on the Mexican Rivera cruise there will be pictures soon. After we got back we were home for a week packing, and then Sunday at 12:30 in the morning we left for Idaho. We spent in the night at my sister's house is Saratoga Springs UT on Sunday night, and then Monday we left her house around noon and arrived at our new home in Twin Falls Idaho at 5:30 in the evening (which Monday the 22nd was Hunter's 7th birthday, and tomorrow the 24th is Wyatt's 3rd birthday). Happy Birthday BOYS! Today being our first full day here we have done some unpacking, and I went and registered Hunter for school which will start on September 1st. So look for some more post to come with pictures of all of this fun crazy stuff happening in our busy lives.

Wells Family Reunion 2011 Part 1

Mid July we had our Wells' Family Reunion camping below the Teton Mountains in Alta Wyoming (right next to Driggs Idaho where Grandma and Grandpa Great are from). We spent a lot of time fishing and more fishing (I have a ton of fishing pictures). Needless to say we caught a lot of yummy fish. So for part 1 of our reunion is pictures of fishing and our trip to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. In Jackson Hole we went to their rec center and went swimming (they have a great indoor pool with an awesome slide that Hunter went on 33 times and Wyatt kept saying again! again! again! We walked around town and went into some fun stores. Tyson bought a PETA shirt that says people for eating tasty animals. Then we went to Bar J's (an awesome dinner entertainment chuck wagon) the 4 guys that perform are amazing. One guy told a hilarious story of Cinderella but would switch the first letters of the words like fairy tale was a tairy fale. It was so so funny (my mother-in-law speaks this language fluently, she totally understood him). If you're ever in Jackson Wyoming you have to go there.

Lily 8 Months Old

I just love this little girl. She is such a sweetheart with a little sass in her personality. She is such a smart little cookie like her parents. If you ask her, "where's your head?" she pats her head. She is starting to point and notice things like birds and airplanes. I am sure going to miss the DeWall family when we move, especially little Lily.

Towards the beginning of July we meet the cousins at the park to "try" and take pictures of the 5 cousins together before we move. So below is an attempt. Wyatt and Molly (the 2 year olds) were the hardest, the 3 babies were fine; Carlisle was chill, Jack was happy and full of smiles, and Seth wanted his nap (but they are easier that the 2 year olds cause they couldn't run away).

4th of July

This wasn't our typical 4th of July. Tyson's cousins from Colorado were here to visit. We started out around noon with a crazy thunder storm. I mean crazy! The wind was blowing so had for about 10 minutes and it POURED for about an hour flooding things fast, especially our dry stream bed that quickly filled up with flowing water. The wind was blowing so hard it snapped some of the oak trees. Our neighbor Antonio's truck was a victim to a huge oak branch breaking. We ran outside moved our cars from out from under the trees and grabbed tools and covered tools moving things out of the pouring rain. We were soaked and thought that we would have a little fun since we were already wet. I swear we are not rednecks.

We have been going over to our friends The Schewies' house often this summer to cool down and swim in their pool. We all love it except Wyatt. The first time there Tyson threw him in the pool, and now all he does is sit on the wall between the spa and the pool. If he does get in the water it is only on the step and that's it. Hopefully one day he will love the water like the rest of us.

2 weekends ago, Tyson and I took a trip to Idaho and got Idaho driver's licenses and registered his truck there. We went to Twin Falls and stayed the night there and visited our friend Jake who gave us a tour of the town of our future home. We plan on moving there mid August. It is a beautiful city, and lots of boating fun to come on the Snake river. We saw the falls from on top of the hill, next time we'll get closer. The temple there is gorgeous too. We excited for our adventure ahead.

Sunday Fun

So, this was about a month ago (I have been slacking in the blogging area). It was a Sunday and my mom came out to join us for a Sunday dinner. She is such a sport and always plays with the kids not matter what they want to play (even if it means jumping on the trampoline right after dinner). Wyatt just loves his baby cousin Carisle "baby car" is what he calls him.

Well, I found this picture of when I was 4 years old and I covered up my hair and asked Wyatt who it was and he said, "Wyatt!" I guess I do have a kid that looks like me. What do you think?

This is one of the best things as a parent when you have more than one kid and they are just so loving to one another. They usually cuddle together when it's late at night or early in the morning and they are watching a movie.

Hiking

Tyson and I took the boys on a little hike last Friday evening out by Vail Lake. Tyson brought one of his guns that Hunter likes to shoot to shoot at rabbits. Wyatt would pretend his stick was a gun and pretend to shoot too. We got to a point in the trail where there was a little stream. Tyson, Hunter and I could run and jump over it, but not Wyatt. So instead Tyson held his hand while he ran, and then swung him over to me to catch him. Well, I missed. He landed flat on his back with the back of his head in the water. He wasn't hurt or didn't even cry, in fact we all just laughed. Most of the time Wyatt just wanted to throw rocks. It was a fun family evening.

DIRT

If there is dirt Wyatt is in it, or should I say it is all over him. He is a funny character, he likes to lay down on the ground on all types of surfaces whether it is dirt, concrete, asphalt, or grass. The pictures of the amount of dirt on him doesn't do it justice of what how covered in dirt he was.

The other day Hunter caught a HUGE grasshopper at my mom's house. He put it in a container and my wonderful mom cut up a pair of pantyhose to use as a lid (with a rubber band) so the grasshopper can breath. Hunter wanted to bring it home to show Tyson. We only had about 4 minutes left of a drive on the way home when Hunter sais, "ut-oh!" I said what? (already knowing what he was going to say, but hopeing that it wasn't what I thought it was). Hunter replies, "The grasshopper got out and is on your chair." I yelled for him to "get it!" Next thing I know this grasshopper lands on my back and I start SCREAMING! It climbs on me then hops off somewhere, not knowing where he went (I am still screaming). Then I see it climbing up the passenger chair and I take the container and hold it up against the back of the chair the rest of the way home. NO MORE BUGS or SPIDERS IN MY CAR!!!!

Rag Wreath & Topiary

This was my first rag wreath. On Friday my friend Amy and I went to Joann's and bought some 4th of July fabric that was on sale (along with some other great stuff). She gave me one of her extra foam wreaths that she had purchased from the dollar tree to use. I then riped and cut the fabric into strips and then tied the onto the wreath, added a bow and that's it. For the 4th of July Topiary I used a styrofoam ball, wooden dowel, bucket from target's dollar bin, tool, and 2-3 packages of star garland from the dollar tree. And just for fun I made a little photo holder out of those paper clip things.
