Baby Jack & Molly Time

My sister-in-law Dani just had her second baby last night baby Jack Morgan Wells on 02.24.11, weighing 6 lbs 15 oz, and 18 1/2 inches long. He is too precious. Our family had the honor of watching Molly last night and today. Wyatt and Molly get along like carrots and peas, if one does something so does the other. Molly slept through the night (better then my own kids), and has been a happy camper the whole time. I took her this morning to go see her new baby brother, mommy and daddy. We have been enjoying our Molly time.

More St. Patty's Day Stuff

First is the Subway art, next is a canvas with the boys hands making clovers, and their fingers to make little clovers. This was my first time making my own flowers, but I didn't have fabric, so I used ribbon instead. Last is the really cute and simple topiary using a styrofoam ball, 2 packages of shamrock garland from the dollar tree, a green pencil, and a green square bucket from the dollar bins at target (I loved how this one turned out).

Shadow Box Banks

I saw this done on someones blog and I just had to do it. Hunter is always wanting to dump out his piggy bank to see how much money he has, so these shadow box banks are perfect. I bought some shadow box frames at Micheals for 60% off (I think they were about $4 each). I used scrapbook paper for the background and then cut out each boys name on the cricut with white vinyl. My wonderful husband used some kind of router drill bit table saw thing to make wide slits on the top to put the money in. The boys had fun filling their new banks.

St. Patrick's Day Subway Art

So, I thought I would share this link with all my fabulous bloggers. This talented lady Janet made some adorable Subway Art for St. Patricks Day. I already printed my out, When I'm done with it I'll post a picture. But go check out her creations that are posted on Today's Fabulous Find. Here is the link http://todaysfabulousfinds.blogspot.com/2011/02/st-patricks-day-subway-art-prints.html
They are too cute, and she saved me time from having to make my own. Here is one of the ones she made.

Wyatt & Hats

Hunter was gone with Tyson last night at a basketball game for church and Wyatt and I were at home together. Wyatt got down all of Tyson's hats and was putting them all on. It reminded me of the children's book "Caps for Sell". He is so silly.

Valentine's Day

Hunter went to school and handed out his valentines and received many valentines in exchange. After I picked him up we went to Grandma Stephie's work and gave her her valentine. Hunter and Wyatt enjoyed surprising her and playing in the water fountain at her work. Then we went to Grandma Sandi's work to give her her valentine. While we were waiting for her the boy decided to wrestle.

Shamrock

Here is a cute shamrock that I cut out using the scroll saw. I also cut out the heart petals (chipboard) on the saw too. The rest is scrapbook paper, modge podge, paint, and some flare. This will look great next to my wood cute out of the word LUCK.

Rainbow

This was my first time using a scroll saw on mdf to cut out my own drawing. I was pretty happy with how it turned out. I thought that using the scroll saw would have been easy, but I guess with more practice I will get better at it. But it is fun to make whatever I want, especially is JoAnns or Michaels don't have what I need. It also helps having a husband who is a contractor and has all the tools I need and lots of left over wood from job sites. This will go up with my St. Patrick's Day decor soon.

Celebrate

So this is my other craft from my girls craft night that I just finally finished. It is broken up in 3 different sections ( cel-ebr-ate).  On the C, B, and T are little eye hooks and you use to tie helium balloons to for any kind of celebration. I love it!

Crafting + Stupidity = Ouch!

So I wasn't thinking and was trying to sand and tiny button loop off of a little shamrock using a big electric table sander belt. Well, I lost grip of the tiny shamrock (I still have no idea where it was thrown) and lost half of 2 of my finger nails. Pretty huh? Pretty Stupid.

Dirt Bikes

This weekend Tyson was riding the dirt bike and Wyatt just had to have a ride. The hardest part is taking Wyatt off the bike (he never wants to get off).
Dad's turn to ride by himself, Wyatt not to happy about it.

Journal Writing

Everyday at school Hunter writes in his journal. He is getting pretty good at writing and only makes a few minors. Well, when I sat down and read his journal this is the spelling error that I found (on a few pages). We will have to work on this one with him. You might need to click on the picture of his writing to read it.

Sock Wreath

I saw this done with valentine socks, but I am starting to have a lot of valentine decorations, so I used St. Patricks Day ones. What you do is cut a round styrofoam to open the ring, cut the toes and heels out of the socks, and then slide them onto the styrofoam. Glue the styrofoam back together (I also secured mine with tape), add a bow and your done. No sewing involved.

Hunter's Church Bag

Hunter can't wait for Sunday to take his new church bag that holds his coloring book, a blank notebook, his scriptures and crayons & colored pencils.
