More, More 4th of July

Here are more 4th of July crafts. The Liberty one took me about and hour to cut out on the scroll saw, but I love how it turned out. The rest were pretty simple mostly made out of 2x2's and 2x4's.

Cassandra & Carisle

Today I got to take some pictures of my sister-in-law Cassandra and my cute little nephew Carisle. He is such a happy little boy, who always has a smile on his face. I just love this little guy. I'm so glad they are close by so we get to build a bond with him.

6 Month Old Lily

Isn't this just the cutest little girl EVER! I always love taking her pictures. She smiles, coos, and is just so happy. Brittney and Josh, Lily is one beautiful girl.

Sunday Dress

This past Sunday the boys looked so handsome all dressed up for church that I had them stand in the yard real quick for a 2 minute (literally 2 minute) photo shoot, then off to church.

Hunter being cool and Wyatt being silly.

Being a copy cat and pretend to take pictures.

Last Day of School & Water Day

Well, actually yesterday was was Hunter's promotion ceremony from kindergarten to first grade. But today was officially the last day of school which was really just one big water party. There had blow up pools, water balloons, & slip'n'slides. Hunter's teacher asked if anyone had any fun sprinkler for today, and I have been wanting to make this pvc pipe sprinkler for a while (what a perfect opportunity). PVC pipe is pretty cheap  (about 1 dollar for 10 feet). So I gather some pvc pipe (1/2inch), so end caps, t's, elbow joints, and a hose connector to the pvc pipe (which is all in the same area of the plumbing section). When I got home I drilled holes in the pvc pipe where I wanted the water to come out, made the shape I wanted and that's it. If I am going to make it again I would use a smaller size drill bit to make the holes smaller. Hunter and his best friend Kyle had fun playing the the water when we brought it back home.

A day with Jack

Today was great! I got to watch my cute little nephew Jack while is mom and dad (Dani & Morgan) took his big sister Molly to Disneyland. He is such good baby! I forgot how much babies slept, but when he was awake is was all smiles and lots of cooing. Hunter and Wyatt just loved having him here today. Thanks Morgan and Dani for letting us watch your cute little boy. I just love my nephew!

Summer Crafts

This first one was the other craft I made at girls craft night (made out of 2x2's, paint, paper, and vinyl). In both of these crafts you can't tell in the picture but most of the papers are shimmery of glittery, which I love! I am also in a tulle faze. I have another summer craft and I just finished cutting out of MDF, stay tuned.

Father's Day Craft

It's okay to post this since my husband is never on my blog or a blog for that matter (unless I show him something).
This month our craft group made a Father's Day gift. There were only 4 of us this time. Amy (my friend the hosts all the craft nights) decided with her talents and my talents that we would would cut and get together all the supplies for our craft nights rather than paying someone else to cut everything for us and having to pay for shipping. Amy went out and got all the supplies and used her vinyl machine, and I cut the 2x6's which are glued to the bead board. I love our craft group, even when there are only a few of us. It also is a special treat that my sister-in-law Holli is there too and she brings along my cute little nephew Seth. We all did another craft, but I'll post that in a bit with my summer crafts.

Spiders

As I am taking Hunter to school he says, "Mom there is a frog on your chair, oh! never mind, it's just a big spider." I tell him to kill it, hit it with his shoes. He tries but says, "Sorry, I missed." So the rest of the way to school (20 minutes drive, and we have only been in the car for about 2 min) I sent hunched over my steering wheel freaked out that a spider was gonna get me.

The next day, driving Hunter to school again he says "Mom I see another spider!" So I give him a baby wipe to kill it. He tells me, "I think I got it!" I told him to squeeze the baby wipe real hard and then open it to make sure he got the spider. Well, when he opened it up there was no spider. So once again I am hunched over the steering wheel.

A week goes by and no spiders, but there are spider web strings across my dash and windshield when I get into the car, which gives me the "hebe gebees".

Now today on the way to school Wyatt is pointing to the top of his window saying, "He's climbing! He's climbing!" Not sure what he's talking about until Hunter says, "There is a spider at the top of his window. (Wyatt is obsessed with Spider-Man now and likes to pretend to climb up walls and across floors like a spider. When he gets out of the bath and is all wrinkly he freaks out and says, "Spider-Man Hands!").

I want to put a bug bomb in my car, or something to get rid of these spiders that are breeding in my car. Any suggestions?

Diary of a Wimpy Kid

So last night during dinner Hunter ask me, "Have you seen the movie Diarrhea of a Wimpy Kid, cause I'm not sure if that's a good movie cause it sounds gross!" I had to then explain that it is "Diary" not Diarrhea. And no we have not seen the moive.

Movie night

This past weekend Tyson was out of town, so the boys and I spent the night at my mom's house. After they picked up the loft (toy room) and had their baths and were ready for bed we popped some pop corn, and had a movie night. Hunter enjoys special times like this.
And I also added a picture of a plate from the dollar tree that I added some vinyl to.

Flying

With Wyatt's immune system being down we went on a walk/jog instead of going to the gym. When I run Wyatt likes to stick his arms out and and yell, "I'm blying!!!" and flap his arms.

Mother's Day

Saturday night Wyatt was up all night coughing, and having a hard time breathing. After 4 breathing treatments and some cough medicine I stayed home with Wyatt while Tyson and Hunter went to church. After another breathing treatment he wasn't getting worse, but wasn't getting better so I took him into the ER. There they gave him a breathing treatment that was a little different then the one at home that we gave him. Then they gave him some steroids, and a little later we were on our way to CVS and then home. When Wyatt get breathing treatments his blood starts pumping and he wants to run and jump around (not sit still, which he never does). So we got home around 530pm just in time for a yummy dinner that Tyson made, and for Wyatt to run around and play with his cousin Molly.

2nd Round of 4th of July Crafts

I am really enjoying making 4th of July crafts, there is something about the red, white, and blue that just feels good. My favorite one so far is the one that says, "Home of the FREE because of the BRAVE!" My next favorite is the Freedom (which I will never make again, or at least all in one piece) I spent about 20 minutes hunched over the scroll saw cutting it out, along with the tip of my finger (2nd owie using big boy tools).

4th of July Crafts

Some of you may think I'm crazy for doing 4th of July crafts in May, well, actually I started them in April. But if you want them done in time for the season you have to plan ahead. So here are a few that I have made so far. Quite a few of these are reversible. If you want to know how any of these were made just ask and leave your email. Watch for more to come.
