Father & Sons Camp Out

Last weekend Tyson took the boys to the Father & Sons camp out. They camped at Rock Creek Park which is only about 4 miles from our house, if that. They arrived there Friday evening and had dinner and the kids ran around and played games. Then of course Hunter had to do some fishing, and Tyson said they fished till midnight. In the morning they ate breakfast and then had to pack up to get to Hunter's soccer game at 9. They had a blast, and so did I have the house to myself (I stayed up till 4am). This is something that we all look forward to every year, too bad it's not a 2 nighter.

Wyatt crashed and didn't say awake long enough to do the midnight fishing.

Baptism Towel

I wanted to make Hunter a baptism towel since he is turning 8 this August and will be getting baptized this year. I know though once the kids are out of school (Wyatt 1 more week and Hunter 2 more weeks) I will not be getting much done, and with the baby due at the end of July I really won't be getting anything done. So I figured that I should make this now. The coolest part of all was that I used my cricut to cut out the fabric, it was so Awesome!!!! I love the poem that goes with the towel:

My Baptism Towel

This baptism towel is to help remind you

Of your baptism day all the years through.

When you come out of the water all clean and pure,

Dry off with this towel and you can be sure,

That you are as clean as this towel is white.

And the Holy Ghost will be with you both day and night.

For the Holy Ghost is your gift after the laying on of hands,

And will be a comfort and a guide if you obey God's commands.

This CTR emblem will help remind you to be strong

As you continue to learn right from wrong.

When your towel becomes soiled, remember that we, too,

May sometimes make mistakes and we've been taught just what to do.

Just as you can wash your towel so it can again be clean,

The wrongs you make can be washed away and never again be seen.

Your Heavenly Father loves you, remember always to pray,

And He will be beside you for forever and a day. "

Crib Bedding

Last weekend Tyson took the boys on a father son's camp out, and while they were gone I was able to finish making the crib bedding! I think my favorite part is the crib skirt, it took me forever to find the right color of material to match the bumper pad and blanket color scheme. I love the fact that I can look at this crib and say I made all the bedding, even the fitted crib sheet. I used an old bumper pad the the DI and made a cover for it. The brown minky and soft cuddly fabric is from Joann's, and the fun swilrly, glittery print fabric is from Walmart. The crib sheet, and white ruffles on the skirt is a white sheet from the DI, and the other 2 fabrics on the crib skit is from Walmart. I estimated the cost off all the supplies used to make it all is about 30 to 35 dollars. And yesterday I made a little taggie lovey blanket just for fun.

Last Soccer Game

Yesterday was Hunter last soccer game for the spring season. His team won 4 to 3 (He scored 3 of the goals today). But the best part of all was when he got his medal after the game was over. His team won all their games and tie one game (thanks to the total awesomeness of Hunter). It is so much fun watching him play, and that Tyson was able to come to EVERY game that Hunter played. I would think we would have a little break from sports, but no, baseball practice starts today. This will be Hunter first time ever playing baseball (Tyson and I are not fans of that sport, but Hunter wanted to try it). So on to the next sport. Oh, below is a video of a totally awesome goal that Hunter scored.

Balance Rock Park

After Hunter's soccer game we went to Balance Rock Park (it's about a 25 minute drive from our home). Our neighbor Kyle came with us, we got there around 2pm and fished till 6pm. Then our friends from church met us there and we had a camp fire and did tin foil dinners with smores, and left around 9pm. We could about 9 rainbow trout, a brookie, and a few other types of fish. We'll be having fish for dinner sometime this week. Yum!

Wyatt would put his hands up like this so they wouldn't touch any bushes.

This is how Wyatt traveled most of the day. Tyson's backpack makes a perfect seat for him.

This is our neighbor Kyle. We reached the end of the trail, but that didn't
stop us, we rock climbed around the wall, and surprisingly none of us
fell in the creek.

My favorite picture of the day.

Yes, I fished too, and caught at lest 3.

Do boys pee in the woods? Yes they do!

Hunter is our die hard fisherman.

The fish was flopping every where and got Wyatt in the face.

The leader of the pack, the most amazing and wonderful man in the world. Isn't he hot!

Another Victory

This Saturday was another victory for Hunter's soccer team. I think the other team scored 4 goals, and Hunter by himself scored 7 (I stopped counting after that, but I know he scored more). This was the first game that Hunter didn't play goalie, but he sure rocked it on the field. It was a beautiful day on Saturday nice and sunny around 75 degrees.

Another Soccer Game

Tonight was Hunter's 2nd soccer game of spring soccer. Hunter was on fire tonight at his soccer game. When he was goalie for one quarter he never let in a single goal, and then the next quarter he was on defense and the other team never even came close to our goal. While Hunter sat his turn out for the 3rd quarter the other team scored 2 goals. Then in the last quarter Hunter was on offense and scored 5 goals! This is for sure his sport, he is a soccer stud!

Avengers

Yesterday we to the boys to another drive in movie to go see the Avengers. They were so excited, especially Wyatt to see all his favorite heros in one movie. Hunter would ask who someone was and Wyatt was the one who would tell there who they were, he even knew characters like Hawk Eye and the Black Widow. What would crack me up was if the Hulk was a normal person Wyatt would call him Bruce Banner, or when Iron Man wasn't in his suit he would call him Tony Hawk. He knows all their names and super hero names too. Hunter wanted to take a picture of Tyson and I, please excuse my messy hair, we were in our PJ's so we'd be ready for bed when we got home. It was another fun family night!

Ninja Wrestling

Tyson was going through some of his shirts and cutting off the sleeves for basketball shirts when Wyatt walked into the room and told him that he wanted to be a ninja. Tyson made the boys face masks out of the sleeves and then they came out to the living room and were wrestling ninjas. After the boys were wrestling for a bit Tyson came running out and attacked them both. Boys will be boys no matter how old they are.
