Dierke's Lake

Yesterday (Saturday) Tyson spent most of the day outside working on his truck and vegetable oil kit. He came in the house around 6pm hot and sunburned on his back and said, "Let's go cool off at the lake." So we pack a few things on hopped in the car and went to Dierke's Lake. We were there from about 6:30 to 9:45pm (they close the gates at 10, which Tyson and the boys have been locked in before cause they stayed past 10). It was a beautiful evening a a way to cool off from the heat. And for all you Twin Falls residents a little FYI, if you stay late a Dierke's the skunks come out, and are NOT shy. Wyatt and I were starting to pack up when one came charging at us, and Tyson's yelling from the dock "Don't Move!" Ya right, the thing was 4 feet from us, Wyatt and I ran up the grass, and luckily didn't get sprayed. Oh what a fun evening. I especially enjoy Tyson being about to play and do things with us, unlike he was able to when we lived in California. That is probably the best part about our move to Twin Falls, ID, is the time we now get to spend together as a family.

Wyatt mostly played in the sand and in the water

Hunter spent most of his time catching blue gill fish off the dock, and made a new friend.

When Tyson wasn't playing with the boys in the water he was doing back flips off the rocks.

Of course we had to do a little fishing (now that it's hot all you really catch off the dock are tiny blue gills.

Boating

On Friday last week Tyson friend Al (a guy he works with) took our family and our friend Scott out on his boat on the Snake River for some fun. It was great to get out of the house and especially to get out on the water and cool down from the heat. We all had a great time, especially Tyson, he dying to get our boat up here. I know once we do we will be out on the river every weekend (even in the colder weather Tyson the die hard will wear a wet suit). I was hoping that the bouncing movement on the boat would help put me in labor, but it's Sunday and still nothing. Dustin is just taking his sweet time.

Wyatt's Car Seat Cooler

Wyatt doesn't like to get in his car seat and buckle up because all the metal and plastic pieces get really hot. So yesterday I made him a car seat cooler. It hold 5 plastic ice blocks. So a couple minutes before we leave I place this in his car seat, and then where ever we go I just put it in his seat when we get out of the car so all the buckles don't get hot. It's probably the worst sewing job I've done, since I didn't measure anything and just eyeballed the whole thing, but hay, it's for a car seat. and will spend most of it's time in my freezer.

It has 5 pockests, one for each I block.

Eviction Notice

40 weeks and still no baby. . .
I am issuing 7 day notice for EVICTION. Tenant will have 7 days in which he can either gather his belongings and promptly vacate the premises. After which, he will be physically removed from the property.
He's being evicted due to breech of contract and destruction of property. Expansions only to the FRONT of the house, within reasonable limits, were discussed. Not only have these limits been exceeded, but additions to the back of the house were also made!
Remodeling and gutting of the home was never approved, nor was changing the initial layout and base structure. On top of which, the landlord has received numerous complaints about nightly disturbances.
After 7 days from this day that he doesn’t comply with this notice will result in immediate and forceful removal at my discretion.

Special Visitor

On Monday night we had a very special visitor come and stay the night, GRANDMA GREAT! We haven't seen her since we moved in August last year. The boys were so excited to see her. They use to go over to her house and visit and play EVERYDAY since we lived on the same property. We were so thrilled that she stopped by to see us. She gave the boys some zoo animals that they just love and haven't stopped playing with. We only had her here for one night but we were able to show her Ken and Sandi's land that they are buying, the Shoshone Falls, Dierke's Lake (which a family of skunks were running around, I have never seen a live skunk only dead ones on the road), we also drove by the Twin Falls Temple. The next day (Tuesday) we took her to the town Kimberley to the quilt store, and then from there she had to head back to Utah for a couple more days and then back home to Colorado. We loved having her here, even if it was less than 24 hours we enjoyed spending every minute with her. We love you and miss you Grandma Great!

Lastest Crafts

There were a few crafts that I wanted to get done before Dustin was born. I finally finished them, with a couple days to spare. The 4th of July ones I should have done a couple months ago, but I didn't want to put the wood away unfinished. So I did a real quick job of just paint and glitter on all the 4th of July ones, so I can store them away. Most of them are duplicates that I made myself (the other sets I gave to my mom and grandma), I needed some of my own 4th of July decorations.
I really wanted to get this one done in time for the boys to use for their birthdays coming up.

Been wanting one of these for a long time. I copied the one that my sister had made.

The Driving Rage

Yesterday Tyson and I took the boys to the driving rage to meet up with our friends Dave and Tony Hall to hit some golf balls. The boys had so much fun, especially Hunter. He was getting pretty good and came close a few times trying to hit the golf cart that was in the field collecting the balls. By the time Hunter was done hitting all his balls he was sweating. Wyatt, funny as usual, was a crack up to watch hit the ball, especially when Tyson set up a little basket for him to try and hit the balls into. After hitting a few balls, he became more interested in collecting the balls. Tyson and I each hit about 10 balls (I was quite the site to see), and left the rest to the boys. It was a beautiful evening (especially cause there was a good amount of shade. The boys (mainly Hunter) can't wait to go to the driving range again.

Eyeing his shot (Tyson set up a small basket for him to try and hit the ball into).

Both boys getting ready to T off.

Yes I'm 39+ weeks pregnant and hitting golf balls. Hunter was sweet and would set the ball up for me so I didn't have to bend over.

Taking a break

Day dreaming (it only lasted for a minute and then back to hitting some more golf balls).

Washable Marker

Yesterday evening I was painting some crafts and wasn't paying attention to Wyatt (I thought he was coloring in his spiderman coloring book). The other day Wyatt got upset because Tyson had colored spiderman's eyes black in Wyatt's coloring book. Well, yesterday Wyatt decided that he wanted black eyes like dad drew on spiderman. When he showed me I was upset and told him to go to the bathroom and and wash it off. I then decided to take a picture (he didn't want to smile cause he was in trouble). The funniest part is that the majority of the marker was on his eyelids like black eye shadow. And just so you know, washable maker still stays on the skin for a couple days.

Hunting Season's Coming

Tyson has been practicing his archery skills for this years archery hunt in August. I am excited to see how he does going after an antelope and deer this late summer in archery instead of rifle.

Tyson and Dave practicing (Tyson and Dave work together and are doing their archery hunt together).

Sprinklers

Being that the weather is in the 90's it calls for a sprinkler day. Wyatt actually runs through it this year, where before he would run around it. And Hunter this year has to duck his head to run underneath it (I guess he has grown quite a bit this past year), we'll have to use some bigger PVC pipe next year. I love when they play outside with stuff like this cause they play so well together.

New Tubes

Today Wyatt had to be at the hospital at 6:45am for surgery to have new tubes put in his ears, and to have his adenoids taken out. He was a happy camper all morning. He blew me kisses as they took him down the hall to the surgery room around 8am. The surgery itself was only about 20 minutes. They brought him back to me around 9:15am. It took him a little while to wake up, but when he did he didn't even cry (which most little kids do). He sat on my lap for awhile and drank some apple juice. The only thing at that time that was bothering him was the I.V. in his hand, which they shortly took out after he drank some juice. After 30 minutes in recovery it was time to head home. When was got home he was not tired and bouncing off the walls, but by 11:30 I got him to take a nap. He's doing fine with the exception of his throat hurting (they had to put a breathing tube down his throat), and being clumsy (walking into walls, and falling off the chair) because they said his equilibrium is off right now. The nurse told him he was her star patient and did awesome.

July's Utah Trip

On Sunday July 7th the boys and I drove down to Utah to be with the family and mostly to be at the temple when Mom and Jay got married. The sealing (marriage) was on Tuesday morning, it was a beautiful sealing with family and close friends there. Grandma Cookie was awesome and watched the kids outside the temple during the sealing. Afterwards we went to Aunt Jenny's house for a lunch in, and then the newlyweds took off for their honeymoon. The boys and I stayed at Tiff & Chet's house till Thursday and then headed back to Idaho. The kids played in the little pool most of the time during the day, and on Wednesday we took them to Trafalgas a family fun center. We always have such a great time when we go to Utah and visit with family.

Hunter is slouched down because he is pushing on the gas pedal.
